Sorry for not posting in a bot. With the new baby it is hard sometimes to do Anything!! So this week my mother came to visit. I guess she really came to see her new grand baby. We went out to a few climbing areas in the Okatama area. It turns out that many routes in these areas need to be rebolted. So a buddy of mine talked to the JFA, Japanese Free climbing Ass, and they are giving us all of the hardware. That means we are going to be starting on this in a couple of weeks. Not to metion that the other area that Nabu found will have all of the hardware donated by Yuji. Too cool!!! So busy days coming.

We managed to get over to Yuji's gym again with the Walkers. Good trip. All of this bouldering has made me stronger, but I am surely lacking in the endurance area.

Thanksgiving was a hit. We had about 12 folks over to enjoy a traditional American Thanksgiving in Japan, which of course included sushi.

And today we are headed to Mitake for some boulder wrestling.

Here are some pictures, enjoy.

So this week has been great. I made it to the secret bouldering area and Mitake. At Mitake I sent Melting Softcream Traverse V6. I only tried it a few times. Man that feels good. Tuesday I am off to the secret bouldering area again with Jack to work my new project. The pj is a very beautiful face with slopers and a great arete. At 20+ feet it will sure be fun. I will post video of the send/attempts Wednesday. Jack will be going for the send on his previously thought V8, but actually V10 project. It will all go down tomorrow.
We went to Ome one day to visit the shops there and try and find some Christmas presents to no avail. There was a crafts fair on base that was really cool. We bought a few items from some Japanese art dealers. I think one was very a present. And the guide book is coming along very well. I am pleased with the progress. Saying that, I am mostly working on it from 9pm to 3am while I am on baby duty.
Gavin is great. We took him to the local bouldering area, Mitake last week. Momma kept him snug as a bug. Speaking of momma my mother just told us that she is coming to visit next week for Thanksgiving. YES!!! Momma's Thanksgiving dinner, I can not wait.
I was given four new pairs of climbing shoes yesterday!!! 5.10 Anasazi lace ups, Evolve Pontes, Red Chilies, and Zamberlan Rapidas. I am very excited use them!!!
I helped guide a bouldering class yesterday too. 12 clients. An intro to bouldering session at Mitake. Very fun. Everyone had fun and no one was injured!!!! Always a good way to end a trip.

Picture time.

Japanese Projects from Eddie Gianelloni on Vimeo.

New video from my most resent trip to our secret bouldering area. Jack is so close to making the last move. We are headed back up on Tuesday, and he will send it for sure. Jack sent Tiffany's Roof V6 two months ago, and I finally redpointed it on Tuesday. We also cleaned a sweet new boulder that Star and I found a month ago. I will try and send it next week. It feels like V7. But at 20 ft and on a steep slope, I will have to have my mind in the right place. Wish us luck.
